More than 180 households participated in the York County Solid Waste Authority’s spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program held May 5 at Crossroads Middle School.  The program collected 8.4 tons of household hazardous waste.  

"The program benefits York County by identifying hazardous wastes found in the home and providing an opportunity for residents to manage these materials in a safe and efficient manner," says Gregg Pearson, Manager of the Specialty Wastes and Programs Division for the Authority.

The program was offered to all York County residents at no cost.
