CELEBRATE EARTH DAY: BUY A BACKYARD COMPOST BIN

by buying a low-cost backyard compost bin from the York County Solid Waste
Authority. Bins are available
for $8 and can be purchased at the The low cost
of the compost bin is offset by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department
of Environmental Protection. Each
bin is made from 100 percent post-consumer plastic recycled from South
Central Pennsylvania. The
circular bin adjusts from three to four feet in diameter depending on
composting needs. Instructional
brochures are included with each bin.

Authority at (717) 845-1066. The York County Solid Waste Authority Management Center is located at 2700 Blackbridge Road in Manchester Township. From Route 30 turn north onto Toronita Street (you will see Bob Evans Restaurant and Round the Clock Diner at this intersection). Proceed approximately two miles (Toronita turns into Blackbridge Road). The Management Center will be on your right. |
