Small Load Drop-Off Facility Opens for Yard Waste and Trash

The new Small Load Drop-off Facility at the York County Resource Recovery Center has opened for acceptance of municipal solid waste and yard waste.  This means that customers bringing small loads of household waste and dedicated loads of yard waste to the Resource Recovery Center will be directed to this new facility located within the footprint of the Resource Recovery Center.  Customers bringing dedicated loads of yard waste for disposal will no longer be directed out of the facility to the former yard waste site that was located on Flour Mill Road.

In the near future, residential electronics recycling currently being conducted in the parking area located across the street from the Resource Recovery Center, will also be relocated to the Small Load Drop-off Facility.  We expect this switch will happen in early fall.  Once electronics recycling relocates to the Small Load Drop-off Facility this fall, dedicated loads of electronics will be accepted from residents for free M-F: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays: 8 a.m. to noon.  Check back here for updates on electronics recycling.
