Disposal of Waste

The mission of the YCSWA is to facilitate responsible solid waste management. To that end, we provide education and resources to York County to ensure that trash is disposed of responsibly. The York County Resource Recover Center complex houses many of our facilities for waste disposal.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM & Saturday from 8:00 AM until noon.

Recycling and residential electronics recycling are FREE services which we provide. Other trash items are charged a disposal rate of $67.50 per ton. The minimum fee to dispose of waste is $20 (up to 580 pounds). From 580 pounds the cost is assessed proportionately. For example, the cost to dispose of 1/2 ton of waste is $33.75. Loads consisting solely of tires are accepted at $200/ton.

We accept cash, checks and credit cards (with the exception of American Express) as payment. There is a $3 service fee for all credit card payments.
