STARTING MONDAY, APRIL 20, ALL YORK COUNTY RESOURCE RECOVERY CENTER CUSTOMERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS/FACE COVERINGS

Starting Monday, April 20, the York County Solid Waste Authority is requiring all waste haulers, residential customers and visitors to the York County Resource Recovery Center to wear a mask or face covering while on site per the PA Secretary of Health’s order of April 15, 2020.

Notes David Vollero, Authority Executive Director, “The safety of our staff and customers is of utmost importance. The requirement to wear a mask or face covering is critical to keeping staff and customers safe during this pandemic. All of our staff are outfitted with protective equipment and we ask our customers to do the same.”

The Resource Recovery Center is open to residents M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and to waste hauler account holders M-F from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the pandemic, we ask that residents who have curbside disposal service delay delivering waste to the RRC until the Governor’s Stay at Home Order is lifted.

The Authority facilitates responsible solid waste management through an integrated strategy that emphasizes waste reduction, education, recycling and resource recovery. The Authority is the owner of the York County Resource Recovery Center in Manchester Township; and owns and operates a Small Load Drop-off Facility, a Recyclable Materials Drop-off Center and an Education Center.
