York County Solid Waste Authority Suspends Free In-person Facility Tours and Educational Programming: Virtual Options Available
Due to the increase of Covid-19 cases in Pennsylvania, the York County Solid Waste Authority is suspending its free in-person facility tours and environmental education programming. Virtual options are available to educators and the public. Options include video tours of the York County Resource Recovery Center and the York County Sanitary Landfill/Hopewell Area Recreation Complex, printable environmental activities, virtual presentations and more. The York County Solid Waste Authority facilitates responsible solid waste management through an integrated strategy that emphasizes waste reduction, education, recycling and resource recovery. The Authority is the owner of the York County Resource Recovery Center in Manchester Township and owns and operates a Recyclable Materials Drop-off Center, a Small Load Drop-off Facility, an Education Center and an Ash Recycling and Processing Facility.
