CAUTION: Materials with a high alcohol content (ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, etc.), have the potential to catch fire easily and contain toxic chemicals. Click here to view options to manage Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) in York County.
TRASH: Flammable liquids may be disposed of at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC) in the Small Load Drop-off Area liquids hopper, subject to the YCRRC tipping fee, but are limited to one gallon per visit. For information on the YCRRC fees and hours, click here. Empty flammable liquid containers are not recyclable in York County and should be disposed of in the regular trash. Residential alcoholic beverages (beer, liquor, wine, etc.) can be disposed of in a sink drain or tightly bagged in the regular trash.
RECYCLE: Empty aluminum beverage cans and glass and plastic beverage bottles can be recycled in most York County curbside recycling programs. Contact your municipality or recycling hauler to find out what is recyclable in your municipal program.
