How Can Residents Dispose of Construction Material?
Unused construction materials and some salvaged materials can be donated. To find donation locations for construction waste near you, search “donate [drywall, lumber, sink, etc.] York PA”.
Ferrous and nonferrous metals, block, brick, stone and many other materials can be separated from other wastes and donated or recycled. Click here to download a list of businesses that repurpose construction waste.
Many types of construction debris can be picked up by your waste hauler in York County. However, your hauler may have additional requirements for bulk waste disposal, so please contact them for further information.
Drop off construction waste at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC) complex, at the Small Load Drop-Off Area. See below for accepted materials. Click here for rates, hours, and directions.
Materials that are not accepted by your hauler or at the YCRRC can usually be accepted at Modern Landfill in Lower Windsor Township.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are disposing of construction debris from a York County business or organization, please call 717-845-1066 regarding quantity of material.
