Aluminum

RECYCLE:  Most curbside and drop-off recycling programs in York County, including the York County Solid Waste Authority’s Recycling Drop-off Center (click here for more information) accept aluminum, steel and bi-metal cans for recycling.  For more information, click here.  Aluminum foil and baking pans are NOT recyclable in York County.  To verify what materials are recyclable in your municipality, contact them directly.  Other aluminum household items such as bicycle frames and aluminum furniture are recyclable at metal salvage businesses.  An internet search such as “recycle aluminum York PA” will show businesses that accept these items for recycling. 

TRASH:  Unrecyclable aluminum items can be disposed in the regular trash.
