Books

REUSE:  Books that are in good condition can usually be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate books York PA” will show organizations that accept books for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

RECYCLE:  Continental Paper Grading, a York County paper recycling business, accepts books for recycling via drop-off, but there are special instructions for doing so.  For more information, click here.  Soft-cover books are also recyclable in most curbside bins and recycling drop-offs in York County.  For more information, click here.  To verify what is recyclable in your municipality, contact them directly.

TRASH:  Books can be disposed in the regular trash.
