Child Safety Seat

REUSE:  New and gently used vehicle child safety seats can be donated or resold but ONLY if they are not damaged, expired, recalled or been involved in a vehicle accident.  If donating a child safety seat, always contact the donation center to find out their requirements for donation of this item.  An internet search such as “donate car seat York PA” will show businesses that may accept this item for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

TRASH:  Child safety seats can also be disposed of in your regular trash.
