Duct Board

REUSE:  Duct board used in building construction may be able to be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate duct board York PA” will show businesses that accept this material for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

TRASH: 

  • Duct board can be disposed of in the regular trash but is limited to two 42-gallon trash bags per disposal.  Your waste hauler may have additional requirements for large item pick up. Contact them directly for more information. 
  • Duct board can be disposed at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC) but is limited to two 42-gallon trash bags per disposal.  Click here for information on YCRRC rates and hours.   
  • Duct board quantities exceeding the limits stated above must be disposed of at Modern Landfill.  For more information click here.
