Lawn and Garden Items

REUSE:  Lawn and garden items such as benches, bird baths, fountains and statues that are in good condition may be able to be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate garden statue York PA” will show organizations that accept such items for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

RECYCLE:  Metal lawn and garden items may be able to be recycled at metal salvage businesses.  An internet search such as “recycle metal bench York PA” will show businesses that accept these items for recycling. 

TRASH:  Lawn and garden items that are made plastic or wood can be disposed in the regular trash or at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC).  Click here for information on YCRRC rates and hours.  Metal laundry line poles and mailboxes with concrete attached to them, lawn and garden items made of concrete or stone, and items such as benches or gazebos that are greater than six feet in length must be disposed at Modern Landfill.  For more information click here.
