Ink and Toner Cartridges

REUSE:  Unused ink and toner cartridges in good working condition may be able to be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate ink cartridge York PA” will show organizations that accept these items for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

RECYCLE:  Empty ink and toner cartridges are often recyclable at locations that sell these items.  An internet search such as “recycle ink cartridge York PA” will show businesses that accept these items for recycling.  Ink and toner cartridges are NOT recyclable in curbside bins or recycling drop-offs in York County.

TRASH:  Ink and toner cartridges can be disposed in the regular trash.  Bag them tightly to prevent leakage.
