Lumber
Lumber in good usable condition may be able to be donated. An internet search such as “donate lumber York PA” will show businesses that accept this material for donation.
Lumber (including pressure-treated) can also be disposed of in the regular trash or at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC) but is limited to no more than 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter. Click here for information on the YCRRC rates and hours. Your waste hauler may have additional requirements for large item disposal. Contact them directly for more information.
Lumber exceeding the size limits stated above must be disposed of at Modern Landfill (717-246-2686).
