Pallets

REUSE:  Pallets in good usable condition can often be returned for reuse to the business from which they originated.  Ask at the time of pickup.

RECYCLE:  Untreated wood pallets are recyclable at York County businesses J&D Pallets (J&D Pallets – Products & Services (jdpallets.com) and Spring Valley Mulch (Services – Spring Valley Mulch (svmulch.com). Contact them directly for more details.  Metal pallets can usually be recycled at metal salvage businesses.  An internet search such as “recycle metal pallet York PA” will show businesses that accept these items for recycling. 

TRASH:  Plastic, wood, and metal pallets can also be disposed curbside during large item pickup or at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC).  Click here for information on the YCRRC rates and hours.
