REUSE:  Pet items in good working condition and pet food that is unopened and not expired can be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate (pet carrier, pet food etc.) York PA” will show businesses that accept these items for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

RECYCLE:  Metal pet crates and gates may be able to be recycled by metal salvage businesses.  An internet search such as “recycle metal pet crate York PA” will show businesses that accept these items for recycling. 

TRASH:  Pet items can be disposed in the regular trash.
