Recorded Music, Movies and Games

REUSE:  Recorded music, movies and games in the forms of discs, cassette tapes and vinyl records that are in good working condition can be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate (music, movies, etc.) York PA” will show organizations that accept these items for donation, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

RECYCLE:  CDs, DVDs and game discs can be recycled by mail through GreenDisk.  For more information, click here.  Plastic cases from CDs, DVDs, music cassettes and video cassettes, but not the discs and cassettes themselves, are recyclable through York County business CRDC in their drop-off program.  Click here for more information.  

TRASH:  Discs, cassette tapes and vinyl records can also be disposed of in the regular garbage.  Floppy disc data storage devices should also be disposed of in the regular garbage.
