The York County Commissioners and Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill Present Citations to the Authority for Earning the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence & the 50-Year Anniversary of the Authority

The York County Solid Waste Authority hosted the York County Commissioners and Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill at their Education Center on Monday, December 20 at 3:00 p.m. The Commissioners and the Senator presented the Authority with citations celebrating the recent announcement from the PA Department of Environmental Protection that the Authority is among 13 recipients of the 2021 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence. The Authority received the award for its major improvements to the Resource Recovery Center, Ash Recycling and Processing Facility and the now-closed York County Sanitary Landfill. In addition, the Authority was recognized by the Commissioners and the Senator for its 50 years of service to York County.
