Tree Root Balls

RECYCLE:  Tree root balls with soil removed can be delivered to the local mulch processing businesses Eshbach Mulch (click here) and H&H General Excavating (click here). Contact them directly with questions regarding hours and any applicable fees.  Tree root balls with soil removed that are no more than 12 inches in diameter are also accepted at the York County Resource Recovery Center’s (YCRRC) Yard Waste Facility, subject to the YCRRC tipping fee, and transported to a mulching facility.  Click here for information on YCRRC rates and hours. 

TRASH:  Tree root balls exceeding 12 inches in diameter must be disposed at Modern Landfill.  For more information, click here.
