X-rays

CAUTION: X-ray films contain toxic metals.

DISPOSAL:  For X-ray films that pre-date 1977 or have an unknown age, contact a hospital or radiology clinic to ask if they will accept these materials for disposal.  X-ray films may also be able to be disposed by mailing to an x-ray disposal company such as B. W. Recycling, Inc.  Click here for more information.   Small quantities of x-ray films from a residence can also be disposed of in the regular trash.
