Vehicles and Vehicle Parts

REUSE:  Vehicles can be donated or resold.  An internet search such as “donate (car, motorcycle, etc.) York PA” will show organizations that accept vehicle donations, or click here to view a list of York County donation/reuse outlets.  Reusable items can also be resold at garage sales, consignment stores and on internet sale platforms.

RECYCLE: 

• Vehicles and metal vehicle parts can often be recycled at metal salvage businesses.  An internet search such as “recycle vehicle York PA” will show businesses that accept these materials for recycling. 
• Vehicle batteries, such as car batteries, and oil filters should be recycled at the facilities that sell these materials.

TRASH:  Small parts and pieces from residential vehicle maintenance can be disposed in the regular trash.  Large vehicle parts and pieces can be disposed at Modern Landfill.  For more information, click here.
